The team
Andrew Kellard Head of Corporate Development
I started my career as Interim Head of Design at The National Gallery, where I looked after Exhibitions, Publicity, Sponsorship, and coordinated architects for the Sainsbury Wing.
Later, I joined CbD as an Account Director and forged links with Historic Royal Palaces, Lloyd’s Register, and BAe.
I founded the award-winning consultancy Paper White Ltd, which became the brand guardian for BUPA, McDonald's, and Logica, and won the Enterprise 2000 Award. I added clients such as the Royal Academy of Arts, Eli Lilly, and Johnson & Johnson, starting a specialisation in healthcare.
I created AKA, which launched the world’s first implantable defibrillator and the world’s first multilink stent. We later launched ablation devices, new drugs, and treatments for conditions ranging from pulmonary embolisms to glaucoma.
At AKA, we developed services to protect healthcare for the population and tagging systems for vital equipment. We utilised a common-sense approach to communication, combining smart technologies with practical, tested methods of production.
The Help at Hand TM app, the Akard System, Answerbaq, and Zigtagz TM are all in-house inventions created by AKA, and they are busy making life a little better for thousands of people.
